Homemade Potato Chips Recipe


Due to its fantastic flavor and tempting color, potato chips are still America’s favorite snack. In fact, the potato chips has become one of the most popular snacks all over the world. There is no doubt that ripping open a bag of store-bought potato chips in utterly and completely easier than slicing and drying and frying and draining your own. Yet easier, as we all know, is not always better. Homemade potato chips aren't just crazy delicious, they’re fun to make. How to enjoy such a wonderful snack with fun? An easy potato chips recipe will helps a lot.

Prepare Time: 40 minutes
Cook Time: 20minutes   
What you’ll need:
4 medium potatoes
1 quart oil for deep frying
3 tablespoon salt
Paper towel

How to cook it:

1. Wash and peel the potatoes. And then slice the potatoes with a mandoline or food processor with a slicing attachment. According to the previous experience, slicing them as thin as a paper can ensure the final flavor.
2. Place potato slices into a large bowl of cold water as you slice. Drain, and rinse, then refill the bowl with water, and add the salt. Let the potatoes soak in the salty water for at least 30 minutes. Drain, then rinse and drain again.
3. Heat oil in a deep-fryer to 365 degrees F (185 degrees C). Fry potato slices in small batches. Once they start turning golden, remove and drain on paper towels. Continue until all of the slices are fried. Season with additional salt if desired.
